Playwright Stephanie Kyung Sun Walters and Acetone Wishes and Plexiglass Dreams 
wins 2022 Terrence McNally Award.

Stephanie received this award for the final part of her Koreatown Trilogy, 
Acetone Wishes and Plexiglass Dreams, which was featured in
LAUNCH PAD's 2022 BIPOC Reading Series Festival.

 


A Medusa Thread, by Candrice Jones, is presented in the West Harlem Art Fund's NP/10 Exhibition House, Nolan Park on Governors Island, NYC. Staged reading is part of New York Classical Theatre's first-ever new play competition: New Visions.

The Watsons Go To Birmingham - 1963 presented by First Stage at Marcus Performing Arts Center in Milwaukee, WI, January 21 - February 13, 2022.

The Watsons Go To Birmingham - 1963 played at Indiana Repertory Theatre February 1- March 7, 2020. 

Staging the Daffy Dame was presented by Notre Dame Film, Television, and Theatre November 20-24, 2019.

The Watsons Go To Birmingham - 1963 premiered at the Chicago Children's Theatre from March 30 to May 19, 2019.

Staging the Daffy Dame was workshopped at TheatreSquared in Fayetteville, Arkansas in 2018.

(A) New World was workshopped at Seven Devils Playwrights Conference in McCall, Idaho in 2018.

Through the Eye of a Needle premiered at the Road Theatre Company in Los Angeles in 2018.

"A" Train premiered at the 2017 United Solo Festival in New York where it won Best Production; it won Best Encore at the 2018 United Solo Festival. Appoggiatura, commissioned by the Denver Center Theatre Company, was further developed at the Perry Mansfield New Works Festival and DCT’s Colorado New Play Summit.  It received its professional premiere at the Denver Center Theatre Company in 2015 directed by Risa Brainin and starring UCSB alum Julian Remulla. Please see this article for more information about the Denver Center production of Appoggiatura. La Niñera: The Nursemaid received a reading at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival. 

Plumfield, Iraq has been produced at several colleges across the country. 

The Dinosaur Within received its professional premiere at the Boston Court Theatre.

Melancholy Play has been produced at professional theaters and colleges across the country including Perseverance Theatre, Northwestern University, and Urban Stages.
